Here is my latest project using lightwave.
This is the third character of my short movie in progress.
Here is "Mister the sun".
What do you guys think should still be done ?

That's really good and I like the eyes. I was going to ask you how you make them look that way but I see on your website there is a tutorial for that, so
I will look at that. will be looking for more updates.

How about a matching mister moon?

Hell, maybe you could have an eclipse, until Mr Sun puches Mr Moon out of the way!

Do you use a shader, or a gradient texture?

On the sun the texture is very simple (just a solid color) with a fast fresnel shader for some more effects.
The glow is a simple glow and the rays are made out of a volumetric light with procedural texture.
I like the simple way of doing things. :)

I like lude thought of the teletubbies sun baby first, but your sun has real character!
