Hey all,
Ill be showing off a few tips 'n tricks in for an hour.
The first half of the class will cover how to use LightWave 3D Displacements and Dynamics to control an objects animation in minutes with out rigging it and key framing it.
The second half of the class will cover creating an explosion in LightWave 3D using geometry rather than particles and hypervoxels. This method may not be perfect for all your explosion projects, but it will be a great trick to have in your bag and can save you time and money on future. Who knows this trick might be able to be applied to other special effects besides blowing things up. Join this free class and find out.

Thank you, SplineGod. Is this live only? I won't be able to make that time, but I would love to see your tips on these topics.

Thanks guys! Hope to see you all there.
I believe the sessions will be recorded.
The nice thing about the live sessions is being able to
ask questions etc.
We will be doing more of these on a regular basis on
various topics. :)

I would definately sign up if I was sure I wouldn't be wasting a spot. I don't think I can get home that fast on a Tuesday. :(
But it really is appreciated either way.

I’ve attended a few of these free training and have gotten a great deal out of them. The last one on High Recursion Art by Tim Dunn was very useful, and even though I was not interested in the subject, I learned a lot about Hypervoxels and some rendering globels setting. And the price is good too.

Hey Larry!
I'm sorry to hear about that. I hope all goes well.
Definitely though a huge plus to be living in NZ, no doubt there. I wanted to catch your training, I hear it was great. I am looking forward to seeing the streaming version for certain. :)

Hey Larry, sorry to hear about the sad family news.
I loved both of the projects you showed especially the explosion process. There are a lot of uses for that technique. Will you be expanding on these techniques in the streaming version or will you be putting together a DVD video.
Again great job on the webinar we all appreciate it.

Thanks, I appreciate that. :)
Heres a test animation of the atomic explosion.

and heres a shot where I used the same technique
to do the turbulence around the prop and around the
fisherman when he hits the water.

Actually we have DVD that covers much of this material here:

I'm having a problem, mostly with Larry's videos in VFXCast. They keep loading but never play.

I think its an issue they have on occasions. sometimes it happens sometimes it doesnt. If i let it 'load' for a bit then relad the page with Shift + Reload it seems to kick it over and it works.
sometimes anyway....
