Has any one here had any problems with running dual monitors with LightWave?
I have 2 20" cinema displays running off of a GforceTI. I haven't run into any problems yet, I was just wondering if any here have had any problems. Like I said, all seems to be running well, so far, but you never know!

Besides the usuall bugs, not much...
Just one caused by OSX, on the second display (the one without the Apple bar (File, Edit, etc.)) keeps pushing my windows down like there IS an Apple bar?...But, two window drags and all is well again...

Thanks guys! I will post any problems if I have any. I did notice that the apple bar is missing on the second display, but that is ok, don't really need there any how!
Now, back to enjoying my awesome dual displays, got to love it!

You'll only have the apple bar on one monitor.
You should have no problems.
I'm still not sold on LCD. I still have 2 old and very large 19" CRTs.

The apple cinema displays are gorgeous. I have heard that LCDs are not great for graphics work, but i think they look amazing. Have fun with them Brian.

I know someone who uses an Apple Cinema display for print work. He says that he uses one of those stick on color corrector thingies about once every 3 months, and he hasn't had any problems with color matching.

I also have a 17" LCD Display that I have had for around a year and I use it for four color process and I haven't had any problems with it for such. I like my LCD's better than my two Apple Studio CRT's as far as graphics go, plus they take up way less room on my desk and consume less power than my CRT's (gives off less heat). Now I just need to calibrate my two 20's and they will be good to go for print work too!!

My issue is with sharpness. I look closely at those LCDs and I don't see as crisp an image.
Color may be there (if you're looking straight at it) and of course they look snazzy and take up less room and give off next to no heat.
Of the LCDs I've seen, I'd have to say Apple's seem to be the best along with a Sony one I saw recently (sorry, I don't remember the model#) but I'm just not seeing as crisp an image.

I'm running Dual sony GDM-5510 21inch on the Powermac and the PC for lightwave. only issue I have is that its CRT and the HEAT is CRAZY. But I spoiled myself now. I can run Lightwave on a single Monitor unless its a SGI o2 box (I have it plugged into one monitor, actually one of the Sonys being that they can support up to two computers each)
I just hate the heat they give off.

I added my old Radeon 8500 to my tower which gives me 2 - 17" CRTs with my 17 LCD Studio Display in the center. I haven't been happier! I can work in Modeler in the left screen, Lightwave in the center screen and keep my smaller windows open in the right screen. I love on screen real estate like that!

If you use Apple's Colorsync, you shouldn't have any problem. I don't trust only in my eyes on color matching. I know color scales and use the numbers, because at the end of a busy day our eyes may be seeing distorted colors.
My humble advice to those who may care is Colorsync.
