Hi all !

I´m currently working on a tank game (WWII of course :D ). This is one of the models, a Soviet KV1-85 tank.

I also got a question (or two). I´m not really sure how to animate the tanktracks - shall they be inte the same uv as the rest oft the tank or does it complicate things. To animate the wheels is no problem, but I will gladely read tips of that too.

The model is 1104 Triagles btw...

I guess the texture has to be scrolled inGame if it's going to be useful.... It's the way I think it works in other games :)

I wonder how they scroll it in Battlefield, might check for some vehicle tutorials for that game....

Thanks for the replies...

Here is another tank - a Tiger 1, desert and snow camo... The pattern was done with procedurals - found that to be a speedy metod of creating a color base for the skin...

The game will be ready some time in June and free of course.

Yeah, that tank rocks. In operation flashpoint they used moving textures to do the tank tracks, worked really well with the rest of it, the tracks move up and down really well too. Take a look if you can its a great game!
