I am considering purchasing Poser, but need to bring the animations into Lightwave. I am wondering if i bring the poser animations into Lightwave 7.0 and then save the lw7.0 scene, then open the lw scene in LW 7.5 if I can use the poser animations in OSX in LW 7.5?

Has anyone out there successfully used Poser files in lightave via the Poser Pro pack? I want to know what some of the limitations are.

Hi. I imported Poser anims into LW using the Pro Pack but this was all in OS9, ages ago. Worked fine for me (although there was some tidyig up to do where the feet were misaligned with the XZ plane).

Poser 5 doesn't yet include the Pro Pack functionality, which allows LW to actually HOST an entire Poser scene. This is different to exporting Poser models in .LWO format.

However, these people http://www.greenbriarstudio.com/3D/ make a number of utilities, including an Animation Loader which works with .bvh files and Mimic lip-synch files too. Looks very cool!
