This is a just-for-yucks hobby project of a speeder from a couple of months ago, modeled and textured in LW 8.5 (CFM). My goal here is to finish modeling its interior, and re-texture the entire model in 9.6, using the node system, which I know virtually nothing about. I would like to also take advantage of any other improvements in LW 9.6 that will aid in the ultimate believability of this simple object.

I hope it's okay to ask for texturing help in this "wip gallery." My hope would be to use this project as my first nodal-texture learning vehicle. So I'll try to start this process within the next couple of days, as I have time. I'm sure I will have a boatload of stupid-noob questions. Have pity on me. :-)

:D I like the speeder design. Your flame looks a little bit like glass. :)

As far as I know texturing is part of the WIP process so post away.
(If it is a severe breach in protocal :p then I am in the same boat, because I post texturing questions all the time here)

I agree - the flame is the worst part of it - but ALL the texturing needs to get a lot better. I finally got a little time today, so I worked on the interior modeling a bit. I've been making this stuff up off the top of my head, but when it comes to putting a real figure in there, I'm going to have to actually get serious. :-)
