Anyone know a good program for testing a raid of hard drives?
Perhaps something downloadable? I have seen the name Disk Test mentioned, but don't know where to find it.
Thanks,

Disk test came with early versions of VT[2] but it only gives a rough idea of drive performance for read and write. However, if a drive is failing then even this tool will tell you that the performance is sub par and that is a good indication. OTOH, a similar tool is used in VT[3] when you run the auto configure utility, (start - programs - VT3 - utilities), which will also tell you that the performance is sub par and therefore may be an indication of a failing drive in a RAID stripe.
If you are testing for a failing drive then you should visit the web site of the drive manufacturer. They have disk drive testing utilities, but as you know they won't preserve data on a RAID, which is probably what you want.
