EPS import?

I got some .eps files that I want to import into Lightwave modeller, but it doesn´t work with EPSF import. Are there any other ways to import eps files (plugin)? Or do I need to save the eps files with some special options?

just make sure the EPS version is 8 or lower, should work fine!

Also remember to make sure the .eps file is vector, not bitmapped.

Thanks for your answers. Well, examining the .eps revealed that the files were CMYK and NOT vector. Not so strange that LW couldn´t open them, then. =)
