I'm trying to create some fancy entrance as from a real building. (see image below)

The rectangular holes in the square areas is the goal - and so far, so good. I've created geometry, and thought I could use the Edit (cur-pol) -> Bool tool. But I can't switch on/off the "keep current object", "bool_tool curves" and "bool_tool polygons" options, nor can I see what boolean mode is selected. No matter what I click, there's no feedback what so ever. (see images attached)

When I click the boolean object, anything but the boolean object goes away. :help:

Nevermind! I had some bad geometry - the boxes I used for booleans was missing a polygon in the bottom, so I had to recreate it, and vector clone again.

However, that doesn't solve the problem with not seeing what's active in the Boolean tool.
