Aura Overlays?

I'm using Aura 2.7

Is it possible to create an overlay in Aura?

What I would like to do -
On my cg pages in speededit, I can just check overlay in clip properties and the cg appears over the video.

If I'm in Aura - And I create a title (animated) on a black background-
How would I go about making sure it can be used as a overlay so only the animated title is seen over my video in speededit and not the black background?

Aura layers are naturally 32 bit. If you don't paint something on a pixel, it is fully transparent when save in a 32bit file format. (The 'black' background you see by default is just a 'virtual' background. You can choose a colored or checkerboard option instead).

What would be a good file to Export this as for use in SpeedEdit since I have the title animated for the 9 second sequence as an overlay?

I tried avi - no luck with overlay working..

Try a 32bit version of AVI, like BGR32. (I don't have 2.7 on this system, but if you don't figure it out, ask again in the am and I'll fire it up to refresh my memory).
