Hello everybody. I've been using VT4 for a while now and I'm interested in upgrading this system to VT5, as well as building a new VT5 system so I would have two machines. My concern is that I've had a need for FCP for a while now. I don't really want to get it, but some of the projects and people we work with require it.
Being a media ministry, the VT has been a great system to train volunteers on, and most of them are windows users. I'd like to run XP on the mac system and run the new VT as our main IMAG/Streaming switcher. We use another switcher to handle the masters for archives.
Is it possible to run VT5 off a mac, anybody doing this? If not, I'll go ahead with the windows system I was previously planning to build.
