You need quicktime installed for it to work. Otherwise, check the output files tab of the render options panel.

Quicktime it's installed, version 7.5.5 (249.26), but it won't appear i the output tab from the render panel....
I'm using Vista 64, LW 9.6...
...any ideas?
Thanks

Are you trying to create an object VR or a 360 scene VR?

Ah that explains it, I believe QuickTime is 32 bit only so the QTVR option doesn't show up. I remember someone saying there might have been a 64 of QT released or it could have been iTunes instead..I'm not sure.
There was another thread on this but I'm not sure if a solution was found.
Do a search for QTVR & vista 64 on the fourms.
Good luck,

A scene, well, as a matter of fact, this is a job I'll be doing next week, taking photos, assembling them, cleaning... a total of 20!!!!
I did this a couple of years ago, but now I can't make it work...
LW doesn't have the Quicktime VR output, no quicktime at all, but it it's installed in the system.
I downloaded some scenes and tutorials, and everything loads, but when I go to the render panel, output, in the "save animation" type, theres no Quicktime at all, I have the *.avi, 4X Storyboard, *.flx . . . . but not QTVR.
Nothing...

Sorry Kuzey, wasn't getting your last post, thanks a lot I'll look for the 64 bit issue.... and keep this thread informed in any case someone is in the same situation.

Sorry, but if there isn't a 64 bit version of quicktime for windows, it won't help any. You might have to render each frame to a image format and put the whole thing in together in another app.
I'm a Mac person so I wouldn't know the options for the PC user.
But if you have access to a computer with vista 32bit then you should be fine.

Best of luck,

If its still the same since I last checked. The problem is Apple & Quicktime, not LW, Quicktime is still only 32 bit.
I do my rendering on PCs & assemble Quicktime on a Mac. I just move my dongle for LW.

Thank you guys!!!
I'm rendering to files, then load the files in a 32bit machine that also runs lw as background and output as QTVR... I'm still in the process so I don't know if it will work.
The other thing will be render evrithing in the 32bit pc and output direct to QTVR, but it will be slower...

You can run 32bit Lightwave on Vista 64...no need to use 32bit Vista.
