Hello:
Thanks to the WOA & Dirks ScreamerNet tutorials, I was able to successfully network render some scenes using a dual gig G4 Quicksilver and dual 1.25 gig G4 Mirror door, dividing the frames amongst 4 CPUs. Cool.
However, a few times during my experiments I noticed that the network renderer would render the last frame of a scene, then start rerendering the scene from frame 1. Hitting the escape key will stop the render. This happened both when I was rendering one scene or two scenes.
It doesn't do this every time, though, and I can't repeat a set of actions to make it happen every time.
Is this a common occurance? Since it appears to finish all (both) scenes before going back to the first scene, it wouldn't really hurt anything for it to rerender frames, but I'd like to know why it's doing that.
Thanks.
