Hi All,
I want to run a text scroll across the bottom of the screen in the style of the all-news networks for a show that will initially air on cable access. The video and text safe delineations seem too far in from the edge of the screen when compared to the way the all-news networks do it.
When I talked to the tech guy at the cable station, he said that there is really no way to guarantee the location of the text because each television set is different. Yet CNN, FAUX, and MSNBC always get it dead on for every television set I've ever seen. How do they do that, get it at the very bottom edge for every set?
The access guy suggested that I monitor the output from the tape, and if that is okay, then broadcast the first show and then adjust from there. I can do that, but it seems clumsy. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
TW
