I have had trouble with critical errors, especially where the hub (and the gradient curve node) is concerned it would seem.
I know other users have had success with a fresh install, fresh configs, etc a there were certain changes between 9.5 and 9.6 where old configs would cause trouble. I've never had LW to crash so much, and by the sounds of things, 9.6 should be even more stable than its predeccessor.
Problem is, I've tried re-installing, creating a fresh config folder, pointing Layout and Modeller to them with the '-c' address, but it hasn't made any difference.
I've noticed that after a complete re-install, even though the path under options is something like C\Programs\Newtek, when I try to open a scene or add an object, it still immediately uses my file path for current projects.. I guess there is a config somewhere that is getting noticed, and screwing things up. I deleted or moved all old configs from LW 8 and LW 9.5 in my docs and settings folder, but I can't think why it would still be picking up the old paths, unless there's something I've missed....
Any suggestions?
Please..?
cheers,
Derek
