Hi guys n gals
I have been trying for months to get some work on the newtek gallery but for some reason I can not.
The annoying thing is that I have invested plenty of money ensuring that I am legal well over £1500 sterling on lightwave and so on, I wonder if all Lightwave user are the same ?I have tried to submit this image several times. basically for assessment by my peers because we all know that's how you get better , If any wavers have any positive criticism, please take the time to crit my work.[FONT=century gothic]
Buying LW doesn't guarantee automatic inclusion in the Gallery! :)
I'd say your image is worthy, I think they just get so many entries they take a while to go through.
If it's just critique you want then posting your image here is better than the gallery.

It's a nice pic. Maybe the large image is a bit too washed out on the strap leading to the face. You could say that the subject matter is not too original, but this does not seem to be a criteria for gallery selection.
Regarding inclusion in the gallery, I shouldn't worry about it. Personally, I find the gallery selection a bit odd, but it's all subjective and it's Newtek's gallery after all, so it's up to them. I have submitted a number of pictures that have not made it, but it's all personal taste so there is no point taking it too seriously or regarding it as a benchmark of how good your work is.
Best regards

Looks good to me, I would guess the larger rendering in the picture could be 1 reason. I would look in a upscale magazine that has watch ads to see how they are presented. I have been involved in many high end product shots, the main object is always in focus. Other than the use of DOF it looks great.
Good luck

Thank you
Ah the sweet smell of critical analysis,
Yes I stand corrected on point 1 no backstage passes just because I brought the software, good point about the strap also, quite true about the subject matter not being the focal point when it should be, I should know this as I do lecturer in graphic design believe it or not.
Thank you for your well meant comments.
