Try to set the quality of volumetric light to best (Volumetric Light Options), but it will take longer time to render a frme.

I tried again and set it to best, but it still looks bad. Here is what it looks like:

Does the image look like that on screen with a test render or just after you save it?

What type of light are you using (spot?)...
And you may want to show us your settings for the light...(anf paticularly for the volumetrics)

Open Volumetric Light Opttions and then open Presets.
Now load one of three presets (Distant, Spot, Point) for the light you are useing in your scene.

I loaded the preset for volumetric point light but still get the same problem. Here are my settings:

I cleared the scene loaded a simple box and the volumetric spotlight preset and still got the same pore results:

when I set the quality to best it get better but the problem is not eliminated completely.
