Below is the line art and water color of a piece I'm working on. I'm also playing around with anaglyph 3D (3rd image,) though it wasn't that successful in this piece given some of the colors get too close to the colors of the lenses.

I appreciate your comments, bluerider. While I am alright with the composition of the above piece, I must admit that my sense of color is nowhere near what I'd like it to be. Nor am I pleased with my command of water color yet.

Watercolor is so tricky, I've played with the stuff for about 15 years now. It's serendipity is rather splendid, can't corral it's nature to well.
Generally when I use color I stick to a base which is usually very simply, I think complimentarys, Triads and harmonies, not all at once of course. To avoid discord using complimentary's can be sometimes a challenge, unless it's discord you want of course.
