Hello.
I'm working with a small team to produce a feature-length film animated entirely with Lightwave...our project is not a fan-film or a contest, and we don't have prizes - but we are paying everyone who gets involved...the cap is still relatively low compared to studio standards in big features, as our overall budget is approximately 1/1000th the budget of a standard dreamworks animation project - but we are still trying to pay at least the basic minimum wage.
We're looking for two solid generalists to work for the next 4 weeks to create a rough previz based on the storyboard animatic using the assets we've already created...place character objects and cameras to line up matching shots to those in the animatic, then render quickshade previews...
After that four week period, we have 16 weeks of fast and furious character animation...there are two full-time animators prepared to start on March 9th, and two part-time animators already working to help with rig testing and morph creation...we have room on the team for at least two more full-time entry to mid-level animators...
This is an excellent opportunity for new artists entering the workforce and looking for practical hands-on production experience.
It could also be a great way for a seasoned vet with tons of downtime to earn some relatively easy money for 4 to 20 weeks.
Production HQ is split between the Orlando, FL and Los Angeles, CA areas. It would be prefered if you lived in one of those two areas, but it is not essential.
If you have the time to commit and would be interested in being part of a very unique and ambitious project, we'd be very interested in discussing it further with you. Please apply directly through the forum's private messaging with links to your work, resume and contact information.
Thanks in advance to all those who apply. The posting will be duplicated at Spinquad forums.
