Hello all
I have what I consider the weirdest network rendering problem ever.
It's complicated, but the long and short of it is that I have some scenes that are taking wildly dispropotionately longer to render on some machines than others. "Robby", and Athlon 3000+ renders in 11 seconds. "Kirk" a 2600+ renders in 28 seconds. That ain't right.
It's really, really weird, and it seems to only happen on some scenes and not others. I've been working all afternoon to eliminate factors that might be affecting it, and all I can come up with at the moment is that the subject scenes have a lot of objects in them (hundreds). The one PC that always renders fast, Robby, is also one that has LightWave installed on it, although I don't think that's significant as the network rendering pulls the LW files off another machine. We're using Tequila Scream too, although again I don't think that's significant.
As usual, any help is appreciated.
