Poser to Lightwave.. skin textures? (noob)

Hey there.

I'm trying to get a hand from Poser into Lightwave, and it's worked so far. But, there's no texture.

It was easy from Poser to Bryce because the skin would get there as well.

Will I need to take the large skin picture from Poser, and make my own UV map in Lightwave?

How can I get the fingernails to be a different objects so I can put different textures on them?

Any other tips?
