View Full Version : Ted occassionally opens old projects

Sometimes when I open toaster edit an old project loads (rather than the last open project). I haven't been able to determine any particular pattern to the loading, although it always loads the -same- old project. All our projects are currently named using the format "mm-dd-yy project title" (without the ""), so for example I might have been working on the 02-23-03 file and when I open Ted, it loads the 01-24-03 file. Any ideas why this would happen or what we can do to get rid of it? Maybe it is some cache issue?

Doubt it's a video cache issue, but it may be an issue with your system crashing. Does it load the wroung project after a crash, or when TED was improperly closed?

The old project is loading when toaster has opened/closed properly. Toaster doesn't crash too often :D so I haven't checked to see if it loads the wrong project after a crash.
Curiously, in the recent files section in Ted, it shows the old file as the most recently used, but the file I was last working on doesn't appear anywhere in the list. Don't know if that helps.
Thanks for your reply.

I've seen this occassionally Joel (after clean exits), but could never pin it down. It's one of the reasons I alway load a new (empty) project before I shut down the Toaster.
