Im learning to rig and i saw the two William's videos about a leg rig and one tutorial of Chris Olsen.
[see the attachment] So i did one rig with nulls and one with reverse foot IK. In the scene i disabled most controls for the items and let only the control points (in orange) active. Nulls rig uses the bones from another object ( I started working with just a node like in tutorial, only later made a speed leg).
Im posting here cause im having dificulties to make both consistent:
- The reverve foot IK has a thing that i dont know how to worksaround: since the ankle is a goal, everytime i push the foot too much, the ankle flies or stretches the foot.
- The both have deformations issues when i rotate the control points further then the minimum. In the nulls, the bones flip if i rotate Football Node a bit much.
- You guys use wich values for Fallof Type?
Overall i like more the Nulls rig than the Reverse Foot. But they still feel both kinda cheesy.
Tips?
Thanks in advance
