Just started messing with this stuff.
I made my own HDRI.
please let me know what you think.

Nice!... I love HDRI Images... it looks so realistic
But try to make more divisions in balls..
you can see the poligons
I will try to add more divisions to the balls. will post new pics later.

just getting into it myself. about 3 days ago... Starting to learn LW 7.5c. Oh, and KPS, your a noob like me, if not more experienced. I'm adding you to buddy list =]

I see you're on a Mac and used Monte Carlo radio.
As I myself never seriously tested it (and only backdrop only) because of the rendering times I'd like to know what are :
- your Mac's specs (I use a dual 867 G4)
- the size of your image
- level of antialiasing
-… and of course : how long it took to render
Yes I am on a Mac and wouldn't have it any other way:D
My specs are:
Dual 1.25
Ram: 1.75 GB
Disk space: 3 hard drives, 80GB, 120GB, 120GB for a total of 320GB.

thanx for the info.
It's less(the time rendering) that I would have thought,
especially with 9 passes of AA, but it's also true their are
very few polys in the scene…
