Viper IS enabled in render options ... but still gives me the "Viper contains no surface data to render".

What's up?

Also, I am trying to learn dramatic lighting. I have a simple interior scene with spotlights and no ambient light. I gather so far that radiosity is the key to effective renders of such isolated down lighting?

Radiosity takes quite a long time, however. I will try to discover the "baking" tactic.

radiosity is fairly new (and expensive) try faking it. many techniques exist, and you would probably learn a whole lot more by faking it.

hey, toy story was lit without radiosity.

do a search for lighting tute on the internet, theres literally dozens of good ones, and very few of them use radiosity, but more to the point, few of these guys need radiosity.
