On advice from another post, I am trying to adjust video levels on a CG title that may be responsible for an audible "buzz".

At first, with Proc Amp input set to SPV, I could move a locked bandwidth up and down on the Waveform Monitor using the Brightness control. This wasn't what I was expecting or wanted. Shouldn't I be able to bring down the luminance level only with the ceiling indicator staying at 100 on the scale?

Never mind that... now I can't use the Proc Amp. It's locked. Rebooting doesn't help.

Any suggestions?

Have tried going into the control tree panel and adjust from there?

While you are hearing the buzz try turning off your computer monitors and see what happens.
Post the results

Turned off monitors. Nothing happened. The buzz is still there on my CRT program monitor.

I agree that it is a luminance level problem due to my choice of title colour (yellow). Tried using the Proc Amp to adjust the .rtv rendered version of the .cg title (see troubleshooter post) and wound up losing my proc amp altogether.

I am new to VT5 but have some experience with VT2 and some studio training from the late '70's.

VT2 seemed easier.

Thanks, Rich. I know now that Contol Tree was the way I should have gone but...

I was initially remembering my "shading" experience with waveform monitors and so went to the scope chapters in the manual straightaway. It was all there as I remembered but the Proc Amp didn't like it when I chose an internal SPV as the input source.

I agree with others in "Troubleshooter" posts that there is a bug because the source I chose was offered and when I chose it things went screwy.
