two intensely stupid questions...

Are the VT boards dedicated NTSC and PAL or are they multi format

I suppose I am asking if I buy a second hand board from the states, will I be able to get it to work in Pal land, in Pal.

One of the boards on offer is VT 1, is this easily upgradeable to VT[5]

Hi,

multiformat it is.
Yes you can buy the VT5 software to make it a VT5 but you won't be able
to use all VT5 functions, you would need a VT Pro board to do so.
You can upgrade your board to a VT Pro board. Actually you send the old one they send you back a new one.
