View Full Version : Klondike Polar Bear: LW and SAS

The fur is of course, done in SAS. Animation was all done in LW. The only shot that's 100% mine (animation) in this spot, is the last one. I also did some modeling, texturing, etc.

The lighting was a bit odd, since the director wanted lots of dark shadows and the client wanted the fur to be really bright... Hence the result. *shrugs* Oh well.

Should be playing on TV's everywhere in the US; all their previous airing ads have been pulled and replaced by the new CG mascot.

My heartfelt thanks to Mr. Worley and his fine staff for their invaluable assistance and support, and the weird people at Bent Image Lab.

well. you definately pleased me; because I was only thinking about ice cream? isnt that your overall goal? to get people to think of ice cream!? cause I'm headin out on break @ work to eat a klondike bar!!! hehe!

Last night I saw the bear on TV, did a double take and yelled "kids come here"! My 5 year old said "hey cool..it's LightWave".

Nice job. I hope you guys get a lot of work out of this. -Mike
