I’m trying to create a 10 frame repeating animation of a cylinder rotating 360 degrees.

I can’t seam to work out how to stop Lightwave slowing the rotation down at the end.

I don’t want to use more than ten i.e. 20 and render the mid frames because I’m using swift3d. In version 7 up of Lightwave you have to render the exact amount of frames in your animation thus creating a lot of useless frames.

I know why it’s doing it, it smoothes the movements in your animations but I cant stop it.

Thanks for any help,
Lude.

You may want to check the tension settings in the graph editor. The tension will cause the slow down in the spin you are talking about. If that doesn't work, try this:

1. Increase the length of the animation to 30 frames.
2. Have the cylinder spin three times or a total of 1080 degrees.
3. Setup the render to render frames 11 through 20

That should get you the results you are looking for.

Happy Rendering

I understand what you’re saying but I have no idea once in the graph editor where to fine the tension settings never mind change them.

Thanks for the help.

I'm just guess ing, sorry don't have time to test properly but in the GE try setting 'Post Behavior' to 'Linear'

I've also highlighted the 'Tension' settings for the 'Rotation Heading Channel'
