Woohoo. New system. Benchmarks.

Got my new system from Dell today. Loving it. Anyway, I was transferring my files from one to the other and I decided while I had them both sitting beside each other that I would do a few benchmarks.

My old system is a PIII 850MHZ(133 Front side bus) with 640MB of SDRAM.

New system is a P4 2.4GHZ(533 Front side bus) with 512MB of DDRRAM.

I used the benchmark scenes that we all have in the Lightwave scenes folder/benchmarks. Here's what I got:

Textures.LWS

Old system: 15.5 seconds
New system: 4.7 seconds

Raytrace.LWS

Old system: 6 minutes 15 seconds
New system: 2 minutes 5 seconds

Skull.Head_Newest.LWS

Old system: 10 minutes 23 seconds
New system: 3 minutes 17 seconds

Tracer-Radiosity.LWS

Old system: didn't bother with it
New system: 9 minutes 45 seconds

If any of you would like to render any of these scenes and post how long it took along with what system you're running, that would be cool. Athalons, pentiums, G4's, whatever....

Hehee.. yep, have to be quick. And on daylight savings, you keep posting ahead of yourself if you forget to adjust your clock.
