Studio composite output

My studio unit has significant distortion in the composite output. The video is covered in diamond shaped grids, which look relly nasty on a monitor. I tested the same monitor using S-video and the picture was clean. Test recordings to DVD showed the same results.
Has anyone else come across this? And what is the cure?

I would think the cure is to confer with Tech support, as it is likely a hardware issue.

I just had my video card replaced, but it also did it on the first card.
