This image is giving me a real problem with the neon. Why can't I seem to adjust the intensity of the glow on each surface? The same intensity screws up the entire look of the image. When I slide the slider for the glow any value gives my whatever I have it set to in the main setting screen, then I end up with this. Am I doing something wrong?

Dunno, you probably know that you set the glow per surface on the advanced tab and the global glow settings... Maybe a bit of corona or bloom may help, not sure...

Did you use some transparency with them...?

The bands of neon look to big as in height now...

Nice image though!

Yes I did use transparency, and no matter how low I set the glow in the advance tab I still get whateve is set in the Global setting. Must be another Mac Bug!!

Might need to drop to some kind of multipass rendering.

Try playing around with the Luminosity and Diffuse channels, or you may want to render out seperate passes.

I have long been wishing that NT would provide a better glow solution; the current system is not ideal.

Superglow 2 from Pontari has/had the right idea in many ways (reflects, refracts, image based controls along with pre-filter to allow glow based on colour/intensity ranges)... I was hoping for something similar in L8, but thus far it hasn't been mentioned. SG2 was once available on Mac, but there appears to have been a limited market and even on PC, it appears abandoned at this point. Still, if you fancy taking a look, head for pontari.com.

I'm not sure what might be available under image filters that might help you out, but perhaps Corona is worth a shot using special buffers?

Man I love the look, it reminds me of computer graphics of those great games like Grand THeft Auto :D
