well ive been working on this character on and off for the last two days and figure im getting close enough to what i want so i figured i would post and hear some suggestions to make this guy better. Im still working on the boots i know they look funny at this point well actually im still working on it all..lol just the boots and helmet need the most work in my opinion other then texturing....comments please.....:) I hope this pic isnt to big?

and could someone help me with realistic eyes i just dont know any good tutorials?

Well if your on about texturing the eye then i found this pretty helpful...

though if your on about modelling the eyes, then just keep fiddling about with it until your happy!

yeah, lookin' good...
...but,
the eye socket is too large for the eye, or the UV for the eye isn't right. It looks like the eye will fall out or start bleeding everywhere!
You could do with a bit more muscle definition, especially as he's an army guy. Good model though, is it your first organic one?

another update...i will fix the eye sockets your totally rite....lol and ill work on fixing the muscles...thanks for the advise...

I like the look of the face/head, but if you don't mind, I'd like to make a quick suggestion...
I think that to get a better proportion out of him, it may help to raise his shoulders/arms and shortening his neck by the same amount.
Similarly, maybe he could be elongated just a smidge from the waist down, losing a bit of length in the torso (abdomen)?
It just strikes me a little odd with legs that are shorter than the torso.
