Thought I'd let you all know that PixTrix has a two day Christmas sale on for his Lightwave plugins, $10 each. On the 24th and 25th I believe. No better time to pop along and pickup a bargin. I've been looking at SP Move3 myself but will probably get some others whilst I'm at it.

Cheers:beerchug:
Dave.

Thanks for bringing this up. I was going to post it as well but I was a little occupied with the festive spirit (and the work that goes with it).

Don't pass this up guys. I already have a couple of plugins that I'm going to get on the sale. :)

I'm not familiar with Pictrix's stuff other then the fact that he's Japanese and some of you guys talk about him a lot. Any plug-ins of his that you recommend and why do I need them?

If you want the ultimate snapping tools on modeler outside of LWCAD (let's just say you don't own it :) ) then you gotta check out his plugins.

Here are just some links to his plugins information page that are going on sale. There's a couple of videos on there to watch and see if the plugins are worth $10 for you :) I have some of them already so I'll be purchasing the ones I don't have.

None of his plugins are 64 Bit are they?

SpMove3 is probably the only 64bit Plugin you can purchase. He might have some more 64bit plugins in the free section, but I haven't checked.

BTW, outside of LightWave. PICTRIX has some very useful Adobe Illustrator and InDesign scripts for free.

.. So I guess that would be 24th-25th Japan time ... ? :)

Which would mean:
Tokyo time: 0000 24th Dec - 2359 25th Dec
Amsterdam time: 1600 23rd Dec - 1559 25 Dec
New York time: 1000 23rd Dec - 0959 25 Dec

I think Pictrix is a very reasonable guy, but Japanese is tricky!

[ If I'm wrong with my timings, shoot me :) ]

SPPolyEdit looks fantastic - and has a few vids, for the mystified ..:

I noticed a few mentinos of PPC on his page .. anyone know if -
a) mac and pc versions are included?
b) the mac versions are UB compatible?

If the answers are yes I will part with 30 bucks in about 30 seconds ...

cheers!

edit: answered own question (b) on the buy page, and purchases made  .. hope a) is positive ;)

Happy Christmas PicTrix!

I use the free version of SP Move and absolutely love it. Great plugin that I couldn't live without. When NT implements snapping into modeler I hope it behaves the same way.

So I bought the 3 UB-compatible plugins he had on sale, but now all the mail I try and send to give my dongle info, etc. are bouncing. Neither lw_plugin nor info mailboxes at pictrix.jp seem to be accepting email by their server.

Any ideas? The Pay Pal transactions went through, but now I'm also getting concerned that he didn't receive those notices either.

A bit disappointing.

I'm not having this problem.

email is: lw_plugin(a)pictrix.jp

Where you change the (a) to an @

That's what the buy page implies - and it has worked in the past for me, too.

Yeah, unfortunately I get the following response from both .Mac, as well as my own email servers (I've strategically replaced the ampersands in the actual reply with "(A)":

It worked for me yesterday when I bought sp_move, maybe their mail server is simply having problems. I would give it a day and try again.

It worked fine for me too, I purchased PolyEdit, SP_Move3, Worm and Clone2.:) Yes I went a bit mad there but after using some of his free plugs for a while I decided this offer on his versions was to good to pass up.
I did purchase on the evening of the 23rd which was before the sale was supposed to have started so perhaps his email system was quieter then, and it took about three or four hours for the download links/info to come through.
anyway Merry Christmas everyone
Dave.

It's lw-plugin NOT lw_plugin

I guess you gotta be programmer to easily spot the difference.

BTW, I've already received a response for my 3 purchases.
He's on the ball.

Yeah, he responded with my purchases already as well (I finally just provided the info in the PayPal notes area).

Good catch w.r.t. the hyphen, I've been writing system software for ~20 yrs and I didn't catch the difference (although that doesn't explain the info(A)pictrix.jp issue). In any case, all seems sorted out now.

Ah yes... I think we get to reliant on compilers catching our errors.
System Software? You one of them assembler guys?
Assembler = Write Only
You oughta get into writing plugins.
The SDK examples are plenty clear and they compile easily with Microsoft Visual Studio Express (which is free).

You can never have too many experienced programmers in the LW world.

Happy new Year !
Thank you for you who came to my sale. :)

Two people who bought it do not receive the key code.
There is a necessity for telling details to me for purchase.
The corresponding person must visit my site.

I'm sorry in a personal thing.
