I've got a short break in projects coming up and I was hoping to switch over to 9.5 during the holidays. Obviously, I don't think that's going to happen.

I'm using 9.2 because (for me) it's much more stable than 9.3. But I still have a fair amount of issues with 9.2.

So, here's the question. Can I run the Beta with no problems while still keeping 9.2 on my computer (just like I do with 9.3)?

Is the file format backward compatible (can I open stuff created in Beta in 9.2?

Im not sure that is strictly true. Features such as hair/fur, iges lights etc that are new to 9.5, yeah sure. But largely everything else will work does it not? As far as im aware, you can save down to 9.3...and i open 9.3 files in 9.2 with no bother!

So the question to backwards compatability to 9.2, id say largely yes!

To clarify: Otterman is correct. But one has to save down to the older format.
