Now that Chicago Videoworks (www.chicagovideoworks.com) is marketing our webcasting services to 29 years worth of past clients, we're finding that they have additional needs outside of Chicagoland. So, we need to find a way to meet their needs or we lose the business. That means we either risk shipping our eqpt to other cities or we find other Tricaster owners with suitable gear in the appropriate cities and we partner.

Whether your business is up or down, if you want to grow you need to expand your contacts and network. I have just started a users group on www.linkedin.com for Tricaster owners called "Tricaster Webcasters Club." Please join. That way we can find out who is out there, who has what additional equipment and staff and we can all help each other make more money while meeting our clients needs.

There is strength in numbers and we can have that power, because as companies realize that webcasting will save them money and improve the efficiency of communications, we are in a position to be the solution with our little, expensive black boxes.

Greenberg, You are right on the money. I just had a company from New York book us Jan. 2nd because of a referral. You never know where your next gig is going to come from.

Networking is very important. When you have a tool as powerful as the TriCaster, there is need out there for it. The key is to make it so you can be found. :hey:

We will travel farther when needed, but ideally we cover Central California from Los Angeles to Sacramento.
Our gear consists of a TriCaster Broadcast encased with component video, Tally lights, 2 channels Intercom with program sound & Audio from Cameras.

Funny you chose linkedin. I just had a local colleague send me an invite to join this week. Maybe it's a sign.
Thanks for bringing this up. Networking will bring us all more work. Plus the easier we make it for people to use, the larger the demand will be!

Wouldn’t it be great if NewTek made a master list? :beerchug:

Thanks, I've sent along my request to join. I am located in Portland, OR.

My setup is a Tricaster broadcast and 3 Sony BRC-300 cameras (SDI). I'm focusing on corporate event webcasting. I'm new and have learned a lot from this board. (thanks to everyone here)

Excellent idea Greenberg. We have only had our Tricaster a few months and are excited about adding more video services to our ever growing list of offerings to our clients.

We are located in Vancouver, B.C. and along with our newly added Tricaster we are also setup with various field cameras, complete studio with green screen and a large server bank in L.A. that we use to stream Windows Media and Flash (Adobe Flash Media Server and Wowza Media Server).

I have somewhat of a list compiled myself. Both from past customers and friends along the way. Some are VT users and others are TC users.

I will contact all of them and ask them to join in too.

Besides LinkedIn maybe we could get NewTek to come up with a user base of interested people. I thought at one time we had a google map thing done with the little push pins of where people were from. Any of you old timers like Ted remember that?
