vt5 and cellphone video clips

Can VT5 import video from cellphones without any type of conversion?

If not, what do you suggest to use prior to import into VT5?

Can't say how any of these would work for conversion. You could also try mpeg streamclip (http://www.squared5.com/), but I'm not sure that it supports 3gp files.

I personally have never tried that, but VT5 uses ffmpeg for decoding, so in theory any file that is decoded by ffmpeg should import just fine (and I believe all codecs in the 3GP specs are supported by ffmpeg) - btw. these files may not show up in the file picker - if so, change their extention to mp4.
