Hi to ya all.

Started to work on cartoony beetle cab, since I saw someone either on spiquad or here that made some realy nice styalized work on some ol' cars.
(can't remember where it was, but I'll post a link to the thread here when I find it.)
This is the second evaning I work on it.

C&C allways welcome.

That's really cool. Plan on animating it?

Thnx Hopper,

I don't have anything in my head right now, but if I get any ideas I'll probably make something of it.

Looks good :D
Albeit they are cool, the rims/hubs need to have some more geometry, even if it is like a semi with just one major thing in the middle (see below).

A windshield might be nice too, but it has to fit with the overall cartoony style, and I am not sure how that would look.

Skinner3D: I thought this was a subforum for WIP's (Work In Progress). =))
Yeah.. I know, Im acctually rendering a pic now with rims that are inspired by the old -60's beetle original rims, and a bit of work made on the headlights.

Since this is a personal project I can only work on it evanings and nights when im not working or the kids runs around. But I'll post the update in a cuople of minutes.

OT:

Salv8or, since you are from Sweden I thought I'd ask. This may be an insane question, but by chance are you familiar with a Swedish metal(ish) band called 'Pigskin'?

Hopper: Ive heard about them but never heard them. Gotta check em out.
Im kind of a metallguy. Where just in S-holm and enjoyed Disturbed.

accom: Ill do that.. Just wanted to se how it would look with a fat "blinder".
I agree that the font is not the best.

I think IŽll build a garage of this guys. Slobbed together a concept for "Elenore" aswell.. Im gonna shape her up as well.. This is loads of fun.

The "fat nŽ bold" beetle is done for now i think.. Im gonna make the interior later and detail tha rear.

Donny: Thnx.. Thats what i went for, so I hope it carries trough.

Skiner3D: As said about the mustang, i just rought it out to see if it would workout, and i think it needs sharper shapes, so all remake it when I get som time on my hands.. Unfortunatly I havent been able o start lw sence the last post, but i might get some time this weekend.

Thnx to all for the input..

Ive totaly reworked the Mustang "Eleanor", and im not shure that i like it.
It made like I wanted it, but i not sure.. Should it have a more "cartoony"look?

Im pleased with the beetle in its design, but im not 100% on the new Eleanor.

Input?
