VT3- Print to tape

Hello,

Ok I cannot do one of the main things I needed VT3 to do for me.. Print to Tape.. I am using a Panasonic AG-DV2000 deck. Using firewire.. I have been able to control the deck, and even to batch capture.. but so far I cannot Print to Tape.. I load my project onto the timeline in TED.. make sure the deck control is set to the deck.. When I choose print to tape from the TED pulldown.. i get the little box open .. I cna see the inpoint and out point icon displaying my video..bbut the "Print to Tape" button is ghosted out.. i try messing with the source preset.. but I cannot get it to Print to Tape..

Any help ?/ Newtek ??

Print to tape doesn't work through firewire. You'll have to use something like DV App for that.

I have not been able to get the VT3 batch capture to work correctly with my DV2000. Did you do anything specific with the DV2000 setup? My DV2000 does batch capture in Premiere 6.5 and Vegas 4 with no problems using the same computer that VT3 is installed on.

I did not do anything special.. I also have vegas, and have had trouble with that.. The first time i tried with VT3 it worked.. have not tried again.. I was surprised, as i have had trouble with vegas... One thing is to make sure the Deck is powered up before you start up the computer.. to make sure the firewire card detects it..also make sure the edit mode switch is set to passive, and the little round witch to the right of it is set to "DV"..
