I have a TC Pro 2.0_9_2008 and I want to clear out everything on Drive D that is not essential. If I delete everything altogether using Windows Explorer in Admin, will the TC automatically rebuild the default Media directories on Drive D that it needs? What about cg templates?
I also have a protected directory on drive D that has an unusual file name indicating it might be hooked into the registry somehow. (From Version 1.0?) Any suggestions would be appreciated as I would like work with a clean slate.
Thanks!

Has anybody ever ventured to clean up drive D?
We have deleted many files off of drive D. But we always make folders for everything other than the default install and OS stuff. So clean up is easy.
If you are talking about "not essential" stuff meaning operating system or application stuff, I would STRONGLY suggest you don't. :)
NewTek optimized everything to run TriCaster as smoothly as possible.
I'm not saying there are not things that can be removed, but I would not want to think I'm smarter than the NewTek guys who designed adn built TriCaster.

Thanks Ted. Your point is appreciated. Deleting a unwanted directory takes one second. However, I began having fun with the Tricaster sometime before I understood everything I was doing or where I was doing it. :-) Since I need the space, I'll copy everything over to an external drive, wipe Drive D clean and work my way back to the essentials.
