Is there a way to affect multiple lights in a scene from one property adjuster?

I have about 30 lights and would like adjust one and affect all.

light properties panel>global illumination>Global light intensity

it's like the master control bus on a lighting desk (ie it controls all the lights)

otherwise apply an expression in the graph editor, something like

Value*lightname.Intensity

where lightname is the name of the light you want to be the controller. (not sure if that's 100% correct syntax, doing a render, can't check)

I think u can use the Spreadsheet editor to select all the lights (all 30) and adjust all the settings in one go. In lw8 it looks like u'll be able to just select them all in the opengl preview window and change stuff in the light settings panel but in lw7.5 u cant do that yet, so you have to use the spreadsheet. :)

You can select the lights via the Scene Editor and then press the "p" key to activate the Light Properties panel. Within that panel there are a number of items that you can change the will propigate to all of the selected lights. Intensity, color, etc.

There are number of them that do not apply to the selected lights as a group. Hopefully that will be adressed with [8].

There is also the Spreadsheet - which was aslo suggested here.

Thanx A bunch guys tried the Scene Editor suggestion and it worked like a charm.

The spreadsheet is a little odd to get used to.

Do you have more control through spreadsheet?

To be totally honest, I do not use the spreadsheet very much. Perhaps someone else will post a better answer for you.

Glad it worked for you!

Spreadsheet is pretty weird and buggy. Also, it will crash network renders if you don't remove all traces of it from your scene file with a text editor before rendering. That, and the really annoying way it makes you confirm everything or lose your changes aside, it is a way to change multiple properties quickly.

Stib your right, it is somewhat buggy.

Everytime I would make a few changes light wave would go belly up. Well Thanx for the feedback everyone.

I resulted to using scene editor to select everything and adjusted all of them there through the properties panel.
