Guys,

I'm looking to get a new camera for my wife who is into shooting independant films/video for festivals etc. We are wanting to get close to a film look without actually going to film and something we can edit on the computer fairly easily.

Has anybody used this JVC-HD1 camera? It's HD which would help me out with the 'close to film' type look. I'm wondering the pros and cons really. I have vt[3] but can it edit using this HD format? As far as editing, what would be my options?

You want professional and film looking?

get the Panasonic AG-DVX100 it does 24p and looks fantastic. It can be had for as little as 3200.00 but looks almost like 35mm film.

Or if you have a bunch of cash lying around, the Panasonic SDX900, Progressive scan 24p 16:9 Anamorphic lens. 25,000.00
