Hi!

I wanted to create an animation where loads of wheels spins while a vehicle moves in different directions. The wheels speed is dependant of how fast the vehicle moves around.

So I found and watched a tutorial video of "Relativity" and "Dr. Wheel Rotator" created by William Vaughan. As always a tutorial made by WilliamVaughan is as close you can come a masterpiece of pedagogic brilliance. A great tutorial and it worked extremely well! Thanks!

But can some one tell me how to make the wheels turn in the same direction as the vehicle? Have tried the follower under the objects "wheels" Motion Panel and that makes the wheel rotate in the same direction as the vehicle. But unfortunally the wheel jumps into an odd position where the Vehicles Null object is placed. And the wheel also moves along with the vehicles "null object" away from its original position.

Some help from someone with knowledge about this item is well appriceated!

Jack

Hehehe... Johan is an extremely great and intelligent developer, and I bought the Vehicle Rigger already. So this isnīt the answer on my questions at this time. But I appreciate your ambition to help!

At the moment I really want to get into the real knowledge of how you spin and turn wheels, therefore I would like to have some direct answers on my questions. So all you out there that have the slightest clue of how itīs possible to turn wheels as the same direction as the mother vehicle, please reply! Here are my questions again:

You can use align to path or velocity in the motion options. Or you can make a expression with this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triangle_(geometry) ... you know with sin cos tan.
I did that once in maya. That works...Not sure how to do that in lw...
