Object Position Reset Upon Render

Hi. I'm entirely new to Lightwave and this forum, so for all I know, I may be describing something that's perfectly normal (I haven't read the entire 1000+ pg manual yet :p). If I adjust the positions of cameras and objects in LW, and try to render, they reset to the starting position unless I add a motion key first (by pressing Enter). Is this normal? Is there any way to make this automatic, at least for the first frame?

To make things stick you have to keyframe. If you don't like doing it manually (enter), then turn on AutoKey. Also check the Options panel to set if you want to keyframe on all channels or just modified channels.
