I'd like a system where you could assign mulpiple object selections to hotkeys which could be cycled through using repeated presses of the key.
For example, I assign the right bicep, forearm and hand bone of a character to the 'Shift+6' key. So that when I press Shift+6, it selects the bicep, if the bicep is already selected then it selects the forearm, if the forearm is already selected then it selects the hand, etc.
It just seems that the numeric pad is a perfect layout for selecting character parts. 8 for the head and neck, 7 and 9 for left and right wings if needed, 5 for the spine, 2 for the tail, 4 and 6 for the arms and hands, and 1 and 3 for the legs and feet and maybe 0 for the root or for the actual character mesh itself.
