DSL and Lightwave problems

I just installed SBC Yahoo! DSL this past week, and now Lightwave will not run. It will initialize, but once the app is loaded the veiwport goes white, and it if I click anywhere in the work space, I get the "Not Responding" error.

I tried the Install "REPAIR" option, but it basically deleted my lightwave directory, so now I've gone through a full re-install, and still get the same error.

Has anyone experienced this problem, and if so, how did you correct it?

I had the same trubbles with Zonealarm. Its the hub!
I have set to allow to trustet and Server
its works fine.

Communication between Layout, Modeler and the Hub are done via tcp/ip, so as mangray said firewalls such as zonealarm can cause problems (the exact problem u described), setting the firewall to allow tcp/ip traffic in all 3 lightwave apps should fix it, if it doesn't then u could try disabling the hub, or try a different brand of firewall. Zonealarm for example should work fine with lw.

Unfreaking believable! Thanks. Although I didn't have the ZoneAlarm installed yet, the problem was the Parental control feature. I set it up for my teen.

Anyhow, I have to login to parental control, then Lightwave works fine. It appears to be a web-based app, so I don't know why it affects my pc..oh well. Your tips led me to that..Thanks.
