Well, here's a still and animation of the tools I've been working on.

They're a couple tools my dad got me not long before he passed away. They're actually in better shape than in the scene, but I wanted to practice a worn metal effect. I keep meaning to make a display case for them with a label "Break Glass in Case of Poverty". Maybe I'll do that scene later, with some more tools.

Nice, peg board could use a little more texture work. I really think the tools look great. The avi will not play for me either PC XP...

Thanks, Wade. I tried a couple of procedurals on the pegboard, didn't like the effect, tried a third (combination of crumple and turbulence, if I recall correctly) and toned it way down. I may have toned it down too much.

As for the AVI, I checked, and I compressed it using the 5.05 version of DivX, not 5.01. You might check and see if you have the latest DivX codec.
I hated using DivX, because everyone seems to have trouble using it, but it's the only way I could get it compressed to a decent level without losing a lot of quality. I do have a .mov of it, 36 meg. Which is an improvement over the 105 meg .mov I originally did.
