Jpeg issues in OS X

Hi all,

Does anyone know if this is an issue with LW in OSX (LW 7.5)

I tried to load a model i did on my pc onto the mac at work. when it hit the Jpeg textures it disappears?!?!?

Does anyone know if it supports jpegs or if it is a pc to mac thing?

I've converted my textures to tgas in the mean time.

There are known JPEG issues with the Mac version of LW. The easiest (and most commonly used) solution around is to remove the JPEG.p plugin and allow Quicktime to handle JPEGs.

However, your comment is the first of it's kind (textures not displaying) so please post some HW/SW specs and if possible, a sample scene to check if it's a global LW issue or related to HW somehow.

no it is just the jpeg issue crashing lw.

I have used with the same results:

G3 Pismo Powerbook 512MB OS X

g4 dual 1gh 2GB ram OS X

G4 dual 1.5 2GB ram OS X

all same problem
