Ivé been having these thoughts from time to time.

In the first Alien movie..we know that there was actually two kind of Aliens, first the strange creature that was sending the warning from a becon signal from within that spaceship, and that spaceship came from where?
did it came from the same planet as of the uggly Aliens or are the uggly Aliens having their own homeplanet and
how might that one look like.

so even if the aliens got wiped out in the fourth series on ship Auriga..They are still out there:)

it could be interesting to hear what people around here think about how that Alien homeworld would look like.
heck why not another continuing series where they discover it..huh.

well theres been to many of the series perhaps, for me personally the first three are in the same category or having the same thread..it starts to freak out in number four..and gets completly lost in number five, and I havenīt seen number six yet.
the alien vx predator series can be fun to watch to ..but they really donīt belong together with the rest.

so..how would the Alien homeworld look like..suggestions please!

the avp movies are not that good...

i'd actually only list alien and aliens are full on movies...

going to the home planet of the aliens would be very cool for a properly funded film not a quick knock off like avp films or the last 2 alien films that just 'used' the alien theme to get backsides in the cinema...some bits in thoses last 2 films were okay but i'd be happy for the next film to totally forget what happened in them and move forward from the ending of aliens.

plus sigorney weaver does NOT need to be in any new film...maybe a cameo part at most if she was in one.

Agreed!

and yeah finding the actual homeplanet was in my mind after the alien 3 movie.
and sigourney has alwas been my favourite female heroes and for these series, but I donīt believe there would be any creditable good story to get here in a role there too, a follow up series would have to have some strong characters thou and actors.,and frankly itīs hard to match any of those actors from the first series.

hmm Maybe natalie portman..with shaved head:)
how the plot synopsis would look like would surely be a challenge.
It would be most difficult to get that sense of nerve and horror as to those two first alien and aliens.

everyone knows whatīs it all about now, slime, chestbursters, facehuggers, steelteaths etc etc.

maybe something new living on that Alien homeworld.
I can imagine enormous pillars reaching up high in the sky or in some kind of deep canyon valleys..that is built up by some secret in some kind of dark Hr giger style.
Aliens all alone on that planet..hmm donīt think so..they had to feed, they had to evolve so some more cute creatures should be there I think.

Good point prometheus!

Pretty much everyone I've talked to about the Alien-movies would love to see a story that investigates where that other type of alien comes from (the dead pilot in the ship). To be totally honest, both Predators and Aliens are quite uninteresting nowdays (well, I have to say I love the Predators though).

I get the sense that the homplanet of those nasty Aliens looks similar to the caves they build. I'm not sure it would be that interresting to see much more about them though.

Would be cool if Aliens 5 would be a parallel storyarc to Aliens 2; a secret mission (secret to Ripley and the rest) with a bunch of marines and scientists who explore the crashed alien ship and get some kind of information on where it came from and then...well...travels there... :)

yes i have had this discussion with a few friends. I always say the the 1st creature or the creature on the table was some kind of giant. after all the queen was very large.

If anything you can say that Games works shop had the same idea when they evolved the genestealers and made tyranids.

yeah cageman..I have the same thing on my mind about how it would look as you said about the same style as the caves they built..maybe a new design is needed on top of that.
Yeah marines..maybe something for your company to build on, since you now how to do those:) and this time itīs war again..but not single troops but the whole army perhaps:) not sure thou..perhaps it would end up something like starship troopers.

that second giant creature would be interesting to see more of too..perhaps they are contacting the humans somehow for some reason and need help to search or destroy the Alien creatures.

or really scary... throw in a bunch of kids lost in that world somhow..that would raise the emotions and feelings more I guess.

maybe I should get going and do a concept Alien homeworld and take it in to lightwave with nodal displacements etc..etc. I guess some cool stuff could be done with zbrush aswell when I get the time to learn the normal and displacement workflow well.

What did the Alien evolve from?

some more scary thoughts..

I guess theres a lot to be established to set the rules for the creatures and the planet.
what kind of atmosphere and klimat, cold hot, moisture and such..has it water or slime:)
what kind of gravity etc..
I was thinking of some kind of creature that is similar to the original alien but this one can also fly or take enourmous leaps..and around the huge pillars there would be some kind of spider type networks to catch prays..

A lot of the rocks or pillars needs some kind of bone structure to be able to blend in with the alien creatures since they are supposed to be able to use that and blend in with it as cameolonts.

also at bottom of the pillars or down in the deepest canyons there could be some kind of dome style huge Egg wich by themselfs contains queens or thousands of facehugger eggs.

What did the Alien evolve from?

the human race perhaps..eh hows that for logic:)

That brings another crazy idea up in my mind that ivé been thinking of.
The dinosaurs didnīt actually die out...they evolved to humans:)

Dinosaurs became birds. I mean what primative form did the Alien come from.

I sort of thought one of the original concepts was that the alien took on characteristics of the host it gestated in. They always appeared to me to have many insect qualities. Maybe they are a parasitic insect race containing attributes accumulated through their evolution, that travels through space with their hosts to the next ant hill or mosquito swamp. Point of origin unknown. I'm not really up on alien lore so I could be way off, but that was my impression of them.

praying mantis perhaps..I believe it was in mind as a model for the alien..not sure thou, maybe it was only for the alien queen.

The Idea of them evolving from the creature they gestates from opens up for a wide range of different creatures but with a special design.
Donīt think that is the original concept thou..I believe that was introduced in Alien 3

Hmm..maybe I should try that spore thing.

There was a series of action figures that were different alien hybrids, like alien and a wolf, or a cougar, a gorilla, etc.

But what would the origin be? Maybe someplace very harsh, like an asteroid orbiting a high radiation and magnetic/gravitational source, so it could manipulate metal at a molecular level for armor plating, and acidic compounds for it's blood, maybe it's veins are more like a plastic ceramic. It's individual cells might have a silicon base.

Well it’s some kind of parasite that evolves from its current host. But no mater what host it has, it starts from an egg. I figured some kind of insects of water creature.

It still has to have originated from something, a clod of dirt, or water, or a pool of hydrocarbons, etc.

Kind of interesting too how there are 3 (or more?) kinds of aliens that all operate together for their same agenda. There is the queen, the thing that comes out of the egg, and the one that gets the spotlight. Are each a separate being or are they all part of one alien? I guess they would be all unique beings. Things that change like a catarpillar to butterfly or pollywog to frog are essentially the same creature. Aliens seem to be more like a relay race, where one passes the duty on to the next. Are there any parallels in the real world that work like that?
