What is the practical difference between bevel and multishift? When I first found multshift I expected it to be like smooth shift except it would have the ability to contract points along the edges of a group of polygons. But instead it does that to each and every single polygon just like a bevel. So another part of my question is, what would be an advantage of using multishift over bevel or smooth shift seeing as how similar they appear to be?

When using the multishift tool be sure to turn on the numeric options, from there you will find the grouping option.

The numeric panel also opens up a huge number of other options, like the type of shift and inset you want, and the ability to load and save shifts, which is very handy!

MS does both simultaneously; advantage being bevel and smooth shift are separate:)

Multiply tab right above Extender Plus ... that's where mine is. Are you using standard menu layout or studio ?
